by Robert Lee Drumheller "Writings from the Apostle John"

The apostle John was greatly touched by the Lord Jesus during the last 24 hours that He was with His disciples before He was to be rejected and condemned by the elders and chief priests. Jesus prayed to the Father for His disciples saying, “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one”. (John 17:21-22).

Jesus prayed that His disciples may have the same fellowship and communion with the Father that He had.

The apostle John wanted his readers to know that they too can experience fellowship and oneness with the Father and the Son.
